This kit installs easily under the engine compartment lid in your Vanagon. No need to drill holes in your engine compartment lid, either. The tubing attaches to the wire mesh underneath the foam with included zip ties.

It works automatically (no power source and no wires). The tube contains an FE-36 extinguishing agentwhen the tubing melts at 248F degrees, it sprays the engine bay with this extinguishing agent, starving the fire of oxygen. FE-36 is non-corrosive and leaves no nasty residue, which means it’ll save your hide and it won’t make an unruly mess.
